The New England Patriots escaped Buffalo with a 16-10 win over the Bills on Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-0 on the season and move into sole possession of first place in the AFC East.
But, as the score indicates, it wasn't pretty, and afterward, Tom Brady made that clear.
“I am frustrated when we don’t play well. I am frustrated when we don’t score points. I am happy when we win. It’s a lot of mixed emotions,” Brady said on The Greg Hill Show on Monday morning. “I think when you win a game it’s never like, ‘Man, I am 100 percent in great spirits.’ Certainly when you lose sometimes it’s not like I am 100 percent negative. I am trying to be realistic about how I felt out there with how the game was going and our rhythm. I am just dealing with a lot of different emotions, the ups and downs, the mental grind of the game, the physical grind of the game. It’s a lot of mixed emotions.”
Brady had one of his worst performances in recent memory during the victory, completing just 18 of his 39 passes for 150 yards and an interception. Patriots wide receivers only caught nine balls, and Sony Michel averaged just 3.7 yards per carry.

The Patriots will now head to the nation's capital to take on the Washington Redskins next Sunday.
Based on how the Redskins' defense has played over the first four games, it seems relatively safe to say that New England's offense may have a bit more success next week.
