Tom Brady's New England Patriots jersey was stolen from the team's Hall of Fame according to the authorities. On Thursday, Foxboro Police Officer Joseph Godino and Sgt. David Foscaldo helped team security apprehend a Rhode Island man who had taken the item.

33-year-old Zanini Cineus of Providence was arrested in the plaza parking lot still wearing the jersey under his clothes. According to the Foxboro police, Cineus also stole other team memorabilia but it's unclear what those items were.

He was taken into custody and charged with larceny. He pleaded not guilty during the arraignment and was later released from custody. The Brady jersey is estimated by worth around $10,000.

This would have been a big blow to the Patriots team Hall of Fame but there probably could be many more game-worn jerseys that could be put on display.

Then again people could be trying to get their hands on Brady memorabilia before he leaves the team. There have been more rumors surfacing that this could be his last year with the team. ESPN insider Adam Schefter hinted at the rumors on Thursday.

“There are three options,” Schefter said. “He’s either staying in New England, he’s retiring or he’s going to go play somewhere else. I would think of those three, that staying in New England — to me — would seem like the least likely option of the three, but we’ll see.”

Patriots fans need to enjoy the team they have with Brady under center no matter how much time is left. Some fans tune in to the game every Sunday while others like Cineus try to steal his jersey.
