The New England Patriots thrashed the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 34-13 on Sunday, something that almost surely would have happened even if they didn't illegally record the Bengals' sideline for eight minutes last week.

Afterwards, Bengals running back Joe Mixon took to Twitter to share an exchange he had with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and was clearly starstruck after having a conversation with the all-time great.

Mixon said that he wanted to ask for Brady's jersey, but was a bit too shy.

Well, on Monday morning, Brady appeared for his weekly radio spot on WEEI's The Greg Hill Show, and during the interview, he noted the tweet from Mixon and said that he plans on sending the Cincinnati halfback his jersey.

That's certainly a cool gesture from the GOAT.

The Bengals actually got off to a strong start in the matchup, taking a 10-7 lead into the second quarter. However, from that point on, the Patriots scored 20 unanswered points to grab a 27-10 edge and never looked back.

Mixon had a very impressive performance in the loss, carrying the ball 25 times for 136 yards while also logging three catches for 20 yards, which had to feel good given how rough of a season both Mixon and the Bengals have had overall.

As for Brady? He still didn't look like his old self, completing just 15 of his 29 passes for 128 yards and a couple of touchdowns, but it was enough to get New England a win that it desperately needed to snap its two-game skid and to maintain its position in the race for a first-round bye in the AFC.
