Could the New England Patriots go 16-0 again?

It has become a topic of discussion after the Patriots logged two blowout wins to start their season, but Tom Brady is having none of that talk:

“To think about something that’s going to happen two weeks from now or three weeks from now or five weeks from now is irrelevant,” Brady said on The Greg Hill Show on Monday morning. “You’ll have plenty of time to think about those when that’s a real reality. I mean, that’s so far from what our reality is. You’re not going to live your life going through hypothetical situations.”

An undefeated season would not be new to New England.

The Patriots went 16-0 back during the 2007 campaign and won their first two playoff games before being upset by the New York Giants in the Super Bowl, thwarting their quest for an overall perfect season.

But that is the furthest thing from Brady's mind at the moment:

“I’m not thinking about anything more than 3-0 because that’s the only thing that matters,” Brady added. “That’s what we've got this week. Today, wake up and I’m thinking about the Jets and how they’re going to attack us and how we need to attack them. It’s going to ebb and flow over the course of the whole season.”

The Patriots routed the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 33-3 in their season opener, and on Sunday, they demolished the Miami Dolphins to the tune of 43-0.

New England will look to continue its early-season success next week when it takes on the injury-riddled New York Jets.
