It's important to have a dry ball when snapping, and that isn't always the case if the center is having a bad case of swamp-ass. Brady takes it seriously, and according to David Andrews, who was Brady's center for the last four years he tried to practice not sweating.

“It didn’t work.”
Damien Woody was Brady's first center before Brady was comfortable enough talking to his center about swamp-ass, but he also doesn't know exactly what else he was supposed to do about it.
“What can you do? I mean, you’re playing in Miami when it’s 90 degrees and the humidity is 100 percent,” Woody said. “As a center, I’m like, hell, my job is hard enough. I got to snap the ball. I’ve got a 300-plus-pound man on top of me. You’re just going to have to deal with the swamp ass.”
Dan Koeppen was Brady's next center, and by that time Brady had a great idea on how to get rid of it. Brady shoved a towel down the back of Koppen's pants and sometimes on a hot day it would take a couple of different towels, but it seemed to help with the issue.
This week the Patriots go down to Miami which means a lot of heat hopefully current center Ted Karras has a good plan to keep his swamp-ass under control.
