A rare Tom Brady rookie card went up for auction, and someone was such a fan of the New England Patriots quarterback that he shelled out 400 large for it.

PWCC Marketplace CEO Brett Huigens said that this was record-breaking, but expected:

The Tom Brady card received a 9 or higher from the grading system that “scores” the cards based on what type of condition they're in. Huigens also said that this so-called “Tom Brady card” was the best quality card that the company had ever featured on their online site, and he was pleased that it sold for such a high price:
“This auction event featured the finest football card we've brokered in our 20-year history and achieved the highest-ever hammer price for a football card. We were honored to present this asset to the public and are delighted for the new owner.”
Even during the offseason, Brady is still winning.
