Breaking news: Tom Brady is still very, very popular. Just short of 20 years into his legendary NFL career, the New England Patriots quarterback ranked first among all players last season in number of officially-licensed merchandise sold.

Brady threw for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions last season while completing 65.8 percent of his passes, en route to a QBR of 68.8 While those numbers are solid by any objective measure, they nevertheless indicated a dip in Brady's performance during the regular season that was affirmed by the eye test.
Article Continues BelowIn the playoffs, though, the 41-year-old showed why he still might be the most valuable player in all of football. He was especially dominant in the AFC Championship Game, when he outlasted league MVP Patrick Mahomes by completing several third-and-longs in the late fourth quarter and overtime, leading the Patriots to a 37-31 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Brady went on to win his record sixth Super Bowl ring, as New England beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3.
Mahomes, by the way, came in fifth on the player sales list, an extremely impressive showing for a first-year starter playing in a smaller media market. The Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were also in the top-five, as was Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz despite coming off a season in which his team won the Super Bowl without him.
As long as Brady keeps playing, expect him to be at or near the top of this list.
