Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are fresh off of a 38-24 beatdown of the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night last week. It was a game that the offense needed in order to gain chemistry and trust in each other. After reports of unrest and drama in the locker room, the Patriots made it a point to prove that they are still on the same page and as dangerous as ever.
Just a few short weeks ago, Bill Belichick went out and made the move to acquire wide receiver Josh Gordon from the Cleveland Browns. Since being acquired, Gordon has begun gaining chemistry with Brady. Following a huge touchdown from Brady to Gordon on Thursday, it sounds like the Patriots' franchise quarterback has full trust in his new weapon.
In an interview with WEEI, Brady talked about his trust in his new receiver and the way the two have come together and trust each other.
“Again, I think I said after the game, I think it speaks to the trust I have in him in a very short period of time to make those plays. I watched him play for a long time and we played against him (while he was in Cleveland). Just seeing him on the practice field, you just make those types of throws when you believe that your guy is going to come down with it. … We needed a big play, and it was great to see Josh come up with that.”
For those who have not seen the big touchdown pass from Brady to Gordon into double coverage, take a look for yourself.

Gordon is one of the league's elite deep threats. He has top-notch speed to go along with a great build and above average athleticism. Not many receivers would have been able to make the necessary adjustments to make that catch.
Brady also made a statement that will excite Patriots' fans about the future of Gordon in New England. He made it clear that he will continue throwing the ball downfield to Gordon, even when the receiver is covered.
Fans love to see big plays and there are more coming between Brady and Gordon. The two are a match made in heaven and it is going to be very entertaining to watch them throughout the remainder of the season.
