The New England Patriots have had a silent deal with superstar quarterback Tom Brady for years. He will continue getting new deals that keep him comfortable and he will restructure his deals to make sure the team can open up some money when needed. Now, things may be changing.

According to a report from Mike Giardi of the NFL Network, Brady's camp is frustrated due to a lack of a new deal this offseason for the superstar quarterback.

“We all took that as, look, there’s no question the first day that they can get a contract extension done, I believe it’s Aug. 7, it’s gonna be done. And yet now we’re hearing stories about, well, Brady’s not real happy with the way things are going, or at least his people are saying that and there’s some frustration here. So, you know, I think that’s gonna be a story we’re gonna have to watch.”

Frustration should be expected from a situation like this. Brady has always done his best to free up money and take team-friendly deals to keep his team as competitive as possible. New England not reciprocating his actions would be a bit off-putting.

Only time will tell what ends up happening with Brady's contract. He is coming off of another Super Bowl win and is still without question the face of the Patriots' franchise. New England needs to get something done.

If the report is true and Brady isn't happy with how things are going, the franchise needs to get their heads in the game and do right by him.
