The New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off on Sunday Night Football. Tom Brady returns to New England for the first time since his departure.

Life has been great for Brady since leaving New England. Not only did he win his seventh Super Bowl title, but he now lives in sunny Florida, and looks to be having the time of his life.

Brady played at a very high-level last season. He threw for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns at 43 years old — redefining father time.

Since these two squads are set to battle against each other, the talk about Brady and the Pats should be one of the top stories in the NFL. This is a matchup everyone has wanted to see since Brady's departure before the start of last season. It will be worth seeing how Brady and Bill Belichick interact for the first time as opponents.

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was asked if he was surprised at Brady's play at the age of 44.

“Super impressed. Not surprised. I think there is a difference between those two,” McDaniels said per Charean Williams of NBCSports. “I would never put anything past him as far as accomplishing anything in this game. I’m not surprised he’s acclimated to their style of football and play as well as he’s played. His work ethic allows him to accomplish many, many things. I’m happy for him and his family and his career. I’m looking forward to competing against him on Sunday.”

This will be the first time Brady plays a game in Foxboro wearing the opponent's uniform. Most of the fans will be wearing their Pats' No. 12, and are likely to be cheering for the Patriots' legend.

Sunday night might be the best homecoming game the NFL has ever seen. This intriguing matchup will be one for the ages, especially if Brady plays like we expect him to.
