Tom Brady wants more help, and the New England Patriots are trying to get it for him.
According to Evan Lazar of CLNS Media, the Patriots are shopping for trades to land offensive talent that could help in their negotiations with Brady. Lazar does not know who New England is targeting specifically.
The Pats are in desperate need of help at both wide receiver and tight end, as Julian Edelman currently represents the team's only reliable option in the receiving corps.
The Patriots took wide receiver N'Keal Harry in the first round of the NFL Draft last year and acquired fellow wide out Mohamed Sanu at the Week 8 deadline, but Harry barely played in 2019 due to injuries, and Sanu was a significant disappointment after being acquired.

Of course, the Pats can always find help in free agency, as there should be numerous options available for the Patriots once the market opens later this month, but because signing a top-tier talent is not a guarantee, New England is obviously exploring other avenues.
What the Pats' willingness to try and make trades to accommodate Brady indicates is that the Patriots do, in fact, want Brady back for 2020, contrary to the belief some held that New England wanted to move on from the 42-year-old and turn things over to young quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
The Pats won their 11th straight AFC East division title this past season, but ultimately fell to the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
