Adrian Peterson didn’t spend too much time with the New Orleans Saints last year as he was traded a few weeks into the season due to fit issues. However, the veteran running back was there long enough to see just what an insanely hard worker Saints QB Drew Brees is.

“Being up there in New Orleans just for that short period of time, and just seeing [Brees], man, I'm talking about clockwork,” Peterson said per Christopher Dabe of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “You see this guy out on the field two hours before practice and he's going through his fundamentals. He's in the weight room. He's lifting. He's cut up. The funny thing is once we did our conditioning test, that's probably the first time I ever lost a conditioning test.”

Peterson is no stranger to hard work. His famous nickname-“All Day”-pretty much sums up just how driven he is to do what’s needed to be the best. His recent workout videos this offseason are also proof that even at 33 years of age and coming off an injury, he’s still got that desire to work his butt off.

However, Brees has proven he’s no slouch himself. After all, it takes a special type of dedication and work ethic to keep playing at an elite level at 39 years of age like Brees still is. The Saints will be hoping that all of Brees’ hard work will translate into another terrific season for the brilliant quarterback, who will be once again be instrumental to New Orleans’ season.
