New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is having a magnificent 2020 campaign. Per James Palmer of the NFL Network, the 3-time Pro Bowler is on pace to make history by becoming the first-ever player to record 800-plus rushing yards and at least 1,100 receiving yards in one season.

On the season, Alvin Kamara has 486 rushing yards and 648 receiving yards through nine games so far. He has also recorded seven rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns.
Kamara was in danger of missing this week's Week 11 game against the Atlanta Falcons after missing the team's practice on Thursday. He was reportedly nursing a troublesome foot injury that also forced him to sit out their practice before their Week 9 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, it seems like Kamara will suit up and play.
Kamara has slowed down quite a bit over his last two games. In Weeks 9 and 10, he recorded just 55 rushing yards and 92 receiving yards, both of which are well below his season averages.
Nonetheless, with his historic campaign so far, it goes without saying that Kamara is one of the top candidates for league MVP this season. He is also the favorite to win the 2020 Offensive Player of the Year.
The Saints will try to secure their fifth win in a row against the Falcons on Sunday. However, they will need to do so without superstar quarterback Drew Brees, who will be out for an extended period after reportedly suffering multiple rib fractures and a collapsed lung over a two-week stretch.
