Saints star running back Alvin Kamara has been ruled out for their matchup against the Eagles on Sunday. This is according to NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, who tweeted the news shortly after the Saints posted their Friday injury report.

According to ESPN, Saints head coach Sean Payton said that this knee injury is “one that he was rehabbing to return” quickly. Kamara may have pushed it too far by playing in Week 9's matchup against the Falcons. This is when he began experiencing soreness in the knee, which will now force him to miss his second game in a row.
Kamara is one of six players that were ruled out for this Sunday. Quarterback Taysom Hill was listed as questionable for the matchup in Philadelphia due to a foot injury.
In the eight games he played for the Saints this season, Kamara recorded 840 offensive yards: 530 rushing and 310 receiving. He also scored 7 total touchdowns: three on the ground and four in the air. Needless to say, not having the star running back is a huge loss for the Saints in Sunday's matchup in Philadelphia.
The 4-6 Philadelphia Eagles are looking to utilize their home field advantage to increase their chances in the NFC East playoff race. Without Kamara's dominating presence on offense, the Saints will attempt to keep their record above 0.500. And, with their last two games resulting in losses, the team has a huge incentive to break their losing streak rather than extend it.
