Who Dat Nation will likely need to wait another week to see Dez Bryant make his New Orleans Saints debut. That’s because Bryant is not expected to play in Sunday’s Week 10 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Apart from the fact that Bryant still has yet to fully learn the offense after arriving just a few days ago, the Saints also want him to shed a few pounds after he sat out the last few months.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Sunday is a little too soon for Dez to make his debut. There just wasn’t enough time for him to get himself ready to play, especially since he’s likely to be a bit rusty because of months without playing competitive football.

It makes sense that the Saints hold him out for another week so that he can be better prepared to contribute on his debut. Moreover, he’ll have the benefit of debuting in front of his home fans as the Saints host the Philadelphia Eagles.

As for the Bengals game, the Saints will have to rely on the running back duo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, as well as wideouts Michael Thomas and Tre’Quan Smith and tight end Benjamin Watson as the main skill position weapons with Bryant out.

But as they showed when they ripped the Rams for 45 points last week, those five are more than enough for Drew Brees and the Saints to keep putting points on the board.
