New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is no stranger to high expectations. Coming off of an NFC Championship defeat, the Saints are expected to be a contender again.
In the way of individual awards, Brees is tied for the fifth-best odds to win the MVP award.
Odds to win MVP (via @betonline_ag):
Patrick Mahomes: 5/1
Carson Wentz: 9/1
Aaron Rodgers: 12/1
Baker Mayfield: 12/1
Drew Brees: 14/1
Tom Brady: 14/1
Philip Rivers: 20/1

Ezekiel Elliott: 50/1
Dak Prescott: 66/1— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) September 6, 2019
While these preseason odds never mean much, it is nice to see for Saints fans. Brees has never won a regular season MVP award, so this would be the crowning achievement of a terrific career.
The former Purdue Boilermaker has a Super Bowl ring to his name, as well as a Super Bowl MVP. If all goes well for New Orleans, Brees will have another ring on his finger.
Article Continues BelowAll the hype around the Saints is well deserved. The defense is one of the best units in the league, led by cornerback Marshon Lattimore and defensive end Cameron Jordan.
The offense is anchored by a great line, and of course by Brees. Wide receiver Michael Thomas was absolutely uncoverable last year, and he's probably the second most valuable offensive weapon on the team. Running back Alvin Kamara is amazing as both a runner and receiver, and has a real shot at topping 2,000 scrimmage yards.
Although Brees being one of the best bets to win the MVP is a little rich, he's still a great player.
He's already cemented his Hall of Fame, but a regular season MVP award would go a long way in turning him into an easy selection.
