New Orleans Saints fans are more than just a little concerned to learn running back Alvin Kamara is nursing a foot injury.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Kamara did not practice Wednesday because of the injury, though he added it was not considered serious.

It would seem Kamara is simply being held out for precautionary reasons, but Saints fans and fantasy football managers everywhere have already begun to panic.
One Twitter user suggested New Orleans has no shot to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday if Kamara cannot play.

Others simply reacted with a slew of GIFs and memes to express their uneasiness.

These might seem like overreactions given there have been no indications Kamara will not suit up on Sunday night.
However, they speak to his importance with respect to the Saints' offense.
Kamara leads New Orleans in both rushing and receiving yards. He has racked up 431 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry, repeatedly churning out yards when the Saints call his number.
But the 25-year-old has been an even more vital part of the passing game, particularly given the prolonged absence of star wide receiver Michael Thomas.
Kamara already has 55 receptions through seven games, and his 556 receiving yards surpasses his total from 2019. It probably goes without saying the two-time pro Bowler leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage, as well.
New Orleans beat the Bucs in a Week 1 matchup, but Tampa Bay is a wholly different team now. The Saints will need all of Kamara's multidimensional brilliance on Sunday.
