With three legitimate starting quarterbacks on their roster, the New York Jets had to make a move before the start of the 2018 campaign. Ultimately, Teddy Bridgewater was traded to the New Orleans Saints to back up Drew Brees, and now he may have a bright future as the future Hall of Famer's successor.

I have been following this offense since I was in college and to be a part of it now is a great feeling. You watch the tape and look at the numbers and things like that and you say ‘wow’, it is a unique opportunity to be a part of something like that. For me, I do not mind waiting; I get to learn from one of the best players to ever play this game and get to be in the room with a great group of guys; I get to learn from coach (Sean) Payton also, so I look forward to that.”
After battling back through a career-threatening injury while with the Minnesota Vikings, Bridgewater has paved his way to becoming a star once again in the NFL. Landing in New Orleans is the ideal situation for the young quarterback as he can learn behind one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game and eventually take over a team stacked with offensive talent like Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, and Michael Thomas.
In the meantime, the 39-year-old Brees will attempt to lead this team back into the playoffs and potentially contend for a Super Bowl title this season. New Orleans is expected to be a force to be reckoned with in the NFC once again this year with one of the best offenses in the NFL.
