After playing for the New Orleans Saints for over a decade, Drew Brees finally made his glorious return to San Diego on Sunday.

Brees was the starting quarterback for the Chargers at the beginning of his career, leading them to a 12-4 record in 2004. Even though he never amassed the ridiculous yardage that he has in New Orleans, Brees was a strong quarterback for San Diego.

Then, it fell apart in a flash. Brees tore his labrum in his throwing shoulder at the end of a disappointing 2005 campaign in which the Chargers finished 9-7, and his career was put in doubt.

With Philip Rivers ready to take the reins of the offense, the Chargers let Brees go. The Saints are quite pleased that they did, as Brees has led them to a Super Bowl as well as a number of record-breaking seasons.
