Dez Bryant is looking to make a comeback to the NFL next season. After his last chance in the league ended with a season-ending Achilles injury with the New Orleans Saints, the former superstar wide receiver took the entire 2019 season off. Now, he is ready to pursue his goal of getting back onto the field.

On his personal Twitter account, Bryant opened up about teams that he would like to play for. To no surprise, Bryant listed the Saints as one of the teams he would like to have a chance with.

There are a handful of teams that Bryant would like to work out for, but the Saints would make a lot of sense. In the short time that he was involved with the franchise, Bryant seemed to love it. The Saints also seemed to like what they saw from the veteran wide receiver.

All of that being said, why should the Saints give Bryant another shot this offseason with a one-year deal?

Quite simply, they need more help. There were rumors ahead of the NFL trade deadline that New Orleans was looking to acquire another receiver to play alongside Michael Thomas. Ted Ginn Jr. and Tre'Quan Smith are quality receivers, but they don't have the kind of game-changing impact that the Saints want.

Let's be honest here. Bryant may not end up being that guy either, but it's worth a shot. At one point in his career, Bryant was one of the most feared wide receivers in the game.

During the 2017 season with the Dallas Cowboys, which happens to be his last NFL action, Bryant caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns. He was still able to make a major impact for Dallas.

When he signed with the Saints, there were positive reports coming out about how he was looking from a physical standpoint. The Achilles injury is certainly a concern, but he has taken plenty of time to recover fully and get himself back in football shape. New Orleans could lose absolutely nothing by throwing a cheap one-year deal at Bryant.

It will be interesting to see what kind of market there is for Bryant's services. There will be many teams with absolutely zero interest in giving him a workout. New Orleans, however, might have some interest due to their past with him and their need for another weapon.

Expect to hear quite a few Bryant rumors this offseason and don't be surprised if he continues stirring things up on Twitter as he waits for another opportunity.
