The New York Giants are one of the hottest teams in the NFL with impressive wins against the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles in two of their last three matchups.
This is a team that many thought would not play competitive football this season. That changed when Jaxson Dart became the starting quarterback, replacing Russell Wilson.
Dart and running back Cam Skattebo are two rookies who are playing very well right now. The hope is that they can continue to mold into superstars to change the direction of this team around.
The issue right now is health. The team has a ton of banged-up players. Receivers Darius Slayton and Jaylin Hyatt are limited and out for practice. Slayton and Hyatt are now a major part of the passing game with Malik Nabers out for the season. These two must step up.
LB Swayze Bozeman (Ankle), DL D.J. Davidson (Knee), LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (Hamstring), DL Chauncey Golston (Neck), C John Michael Schmitz (Concussion), and WR Darius Slayton (Hamstring) did not practice on Thursday.
CB Paulson Adebo (Shoulder), S Dane Belton (Neck), T Jermaine Eluemunor (Shoulder/Back), WR Jalin Hyatt (Ankle), and DL Roy Robertson-Harris (Knee) were limited in practice.
CB Deonte Banks (Not Injury Related/Personal) and OLB Victor Dimukeje (Pec) were full participants.
The Giants take on the Denver Broncos this week. The Broncos contain one of the best defenses in the NFL, and have Dre Greenlaw potentially coming back from his injury. The Giants' offense will struggle if they don't have the right game plan and personnel available. Jonathon Cooper put Dart on notice ahead of the game.
The Broncos have allowed only 31 points in their last three games combined. The Giants won't have Malik Nabers, so they are going to need everyone to step up. The Broncos are aiming to win their 4th straight game and are at home.
