The New York Jets are mired in another long season. They are 3-11 and in the midst of another losing streak, having lost three straight by a combined score of 94-51. Ahead of their Week 16 matchup against Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jets have placed 14 players onto the league's COVID-19 protocols list. Head coach Robert Saleh was also placed in the league's protocols.

Along with their head coach, the Jets also look to be without their starting running back Michael Carter and their breakout wide receiver Elijah Moore. However, Moore was slated to miss Sunday's game anyway. He was placed on injured reserve and was not scheduled to return until Week 17.

It's hard enough for the Jets to pick up a win without losing this many players. They were looking squarely at the best chance for another win this season against the lowly Jaguars. Jacksonville fired head coach Urban Meyer a little over a week ago, but their play did not improve last week without him. They lost to the Houston Texans 30-16.

It might end up being a blessing in disguise for the Jets that they will be without so many players Sunday.
