With the 2018 NFL Draft just around the corner, quarterback-hungry teams are busy inspecting the bevy of talent under center. Among them are the New York Jets, who recently managed to move up to the No. 3 spot in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts.
As a result, they are set to host virtually every top quarterback prospect in this year's draft. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Jets are scheduled to meet with Wyoming's Josh Allen while Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield visits the Cleveland Browns:

The trade has undoubtedly put the Jets in prime position to have options depending on whether or not the Browns and New York Giants choose to also take a quarterback. That said, New York is doing their due diligence by preparing for any potential scenarios that may occur on draft day.
As of right now, Allen seems to be in the mix with UCLA's Josh Rosen as the second-best quarterback prospect behind USC's Sam Darnold. Of course, this is simply a matter of perspective depending on the preference of each team. Allen has been praised for his rocket arm; however, skepticism about his accuracy in college may be a bit of a red flag despite the fact that it has been massively downplayed over the last week.
Fortunately, the Jets are not in a position where they would need to rely on a rookie under center right away. New York added some solid depth this offseason by re-signing Josh McCown and bringing in former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Allen would have more than enough time to develop before taking over as the starter for Gang Green, if they take him.
