It is no secret that New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson has gotten into his fair share of trouble in recent years. Fortunately, it appears things are finally looking up for him.

Anderson had been facing four charges stemming from two arrests during a nine-month span. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Anderson must serve six months probation after pleading no contest:

Jets WR Robby Anderson pled no contest to charges of reckless driving yesterday, his attorney Ed O’Donnell said. Adjudication withheld, he gets 6 mos of non-reporting probation. All charges from his two arrests have now been addressed. NFL spokesman says league review ongoing.

Although Anderson was able to get most of his charges dismissed, that does not mean he is in the clear. Reports have added that he may still face disciplinary action from the NFL. That said, New York is hoping the league will go light on Anderson.

He is coming off a breakout year with the Jets after registering 63 receptions for 941 yards and 7 touchdowns in the 2017 campaign. Anderson has established himself as a bonafide No. 1 option in the Jets' passing attack. His ability to stretch the field and take the top off defense makes him a viable playmaker in his own right.

However, it is clear that he still has some maturing to do before he can take things to the next level. The Jets have brought in a stable of talent under center to help improve their passing attack. Anderson can potentially serve as a safety net all year if he does not have to face any type of suspension from the NFL this season.
