Potential NFL no. 1 draft pick Trevor Lawrence expressed his disdain for rapper Lil Nas' latest customized Nike Air Max '97s called “Satan Shoes.” The former Clemson University superstar quarterback, who earlier confirmed he won't be attending the 2021 NFL Draft, took to Twitter to lambast the controversial musician for his rather distasteful take on the popular Nike shoe.

Lil Nas has been taking some major flak as of late for twerking on the devil in his latest music video for the song “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)”? Looks like he's milking all that negative publicity further by partnering with streetwear company MSCHF for this devilish footwear, something that Lawrence obviously does not approve of.

While the black and red colorways do look sleek, the so-called Satan Shoes also come with a drop of human blood per pair. Yes, you read that right.

The shoe also features the verse Luke 10:18 on the sides and will retail for $1,018. That's not all. MSCHF will only release it in a limited capacity, with only 666 pairs available in the market. Lil Nas and MSCHF, meanwhile, already revealed that Nike was not involved in the process “in any capacity.” Earlier, MSCHF were also the masterminds behind another customized Air Max 97s called “Jesus Shoes”.

This shoe, of course, completely clashes with Trevor Lawrence's religious beliefs. Apart from his prowess on the field as a signal-caller, the 21-year-old quarterback is also known for his strong faith. It's not hard to see why Lawrence would have his reservations about this shoe. Safe to say we won't be seeing rocking Lil Nas' Satan Shoes anytime soon.

Editor's note: Nike confirmed that the company is no way connected to the project.
