The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense has been hit or miss this season and was extremely inconsistent in their loss on Sunday to the Kansas City Chiefs. Tom Brady’s offense has been hindered by the play-calling throughout this season.
James Yarcho and David Harrison, the hosts of the daily Locked On Bucs podcast, discussed how the offense doesn’t make sense when it avoids using guys who are playing well.

We’ve talked about it before on this show. On the flip side of things, you want to convert 33% and you want to try to get over 50%. Tampa Bay Buccs finished this game at 33%. 3 for 9 on third downs. 6 of those 9 third downs were 3rd and 5 or less. Speaking on Dan’s voicemail, do you want to take a guess on how many of those 6 third downs and 5 or under situations Bucs ran the ball on?
Harrison: Zero.
Yarcho: Zero. Zero out of six. They’re not all third and fives. There were third and two’s, third and one’s. and we talked about it in the game recap with the runs with Leonard Fournette of the conversation and then this great tweet that I shared with you, James. The tweet is from Greg Auman. Running back usage being hard to understand. Ronald Jones caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from the Bucs in the first half, in the second quarter; then had one pass thrown his way for the rest of the game. I remember thinking “why are we forcing the ball to Leonard Fournette when Ronald Jones is obviously doing a good job.
