University of Florida offensive lineman Jawaan Taylor is expected to be one of the top picks in the NFL Draft in a couple of months, but teams may not get to see him do all that much at the Scouting Combine.
Dr. James Andrews wrote a letter to NFL teams informing them that Taylor will not be doing any running or jumping at the combine due to the fact that he is recovering from a hamstring injury.
“Jawaan Taylor has been evaluated and diagnosed with a mild distal hamstring strain and I have advised him to not perform activities that may exacerbate his injury,” Andrews wrote, via Adam Schefter of ESPN. “Jawaan should be excluded from timed drills (40 yard dash, 5-10-5 run, etc) as well as long and broad jump. I expect this injury to be resolved quickly and Jawaan should be able to return to normal activity in the near future.”
This shouldn't have any real impact on Taylor's draft positioning.

Taylor, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 334 pounds, spent three seasons at Florida, primarily playing tackle.
With NFL teams always seeming to be in need of offensive linemen, Taylor will still likely be a high-end first-round pick this spring, and it seems very possible that the Cocoa, Fl. native will even be a top 10 overall selection.
