The NFL media is filled to the brim with solid reporters who let the public know what is going on within the league. One of them being Adam Schefter, who is one of the most well-known sports journalists in the world. However, it appears Schefter suffered an injury that will keep him from doing the one thing he loves most… Doing the Griddy.

According to Marcus Spears, Adam Schefter has fallen to a meniscus tear. He won't be able to do the Griddy anymore and must rest for two weeks. The NFL journalist may require surgery, but that will depend on how the next two weeks go.

At first, many believed it was just a joke made by Marcus Spears. However, Adam Schefter himself confirms the reports. It's not every day you see a sports journalist receive an injury update from a fellow colleague. But when you're one of the top reporters for the NFL, it's only right to have an injury update sent through Twitter.

We'll see if his recovery goes well, as he has a two-week period to rest his leg. It could go either way and hopefully, Schefter doesn't need surgery. He should still be involved in the many NFL shows he appears on ESPN. Luckily for him, Adam Schefter isn't a professional athlete and his job doesn't pertain to constantly running on the football field.

Regardless, it's a real shame we won't be able to see Schefter perform the Griddy, as that is clearly one of his strong suits (heavy sarcasm is implied). For now, all he can do is rest up and hope for the best. He's likely to return sooner, rather than later and provide updates across the entire NFL.
