One overflowing consequence of the major changes coming to the soon-to-be former Washington Redskins will be in the virtual realm in Madden NFL.
EA Sports' flagship football video game, with its latest installment Madden NFL 21 coming in August, is expected to make changes to the design and “visual identity” of the NFC East franchise.

Changes to the name and logo will come via title updates that will download automatically.”
Recently, Washington formally announced its decision to move past using the “Redskins” as the team's nickname. The plan is for the NFL club to have a new moniker before the start of the 2020 campaign, but the franchise is yet to unveil a new name as of time of writing.
Unfortunately for the NFL franchise, it looks like it will not have a lot of time to make the name change quickly. To pile on the controversies the team is facing, the Washington Post published an exhaustive account of 15 female employees of the organization who accuse high-ranking executives (that have since been fired or resigned) of sexual harassment.
It remains to be seen how the Washington franchise will look when Madden 21 hits shelves in August, especially with the “generic” look. However, previous reports indicated that the color scheme for Washington will remain unchanged despite the new name, which should become official before the 2020 NFL season.
