Former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy made national headlines about the way he acted at a high school game, and he's now ready to apologize for how he acted.
Last week, McCarthy was in Pulaski, Wisconsin, to watch a basketball game. There, he was seen arguing with officials. His stepson plays for Notre Dame Academy and they were taking on Pulaski High. Pulaski defeated Norte Dame by one point and after the game, McCarthy was seen arguing with the officials as they were walking off the court.
Naturally, thanks to the nature of social media and the internet, it didn't take long for the news of McCarthy's behavior to go viral.
He acted so terribly, in fact, that Notre Dame released an official statement denouncing the behavior. Steph Mathu, the athletic director, issued a stern warning about parents behaving this way in the future.

“Notre Dame Academy is founded on the values of faith, respect, responsibility, service, and trustworthiness. The behavior exemplified by the parent at Tuesday night’s game is unacceptable at athletic events and does not reflect our institution as a whole. Last night, a Notre Dame Academy administrator received a call of apology from the parent involved. We appreciate his outreach and we look forward to moving ahead in a faith-centered and esteemed fashion.”
Obviously, the former Green Bay Packers' head coach has not lost his competitive nature despite taking a year off from the NFL.
