Lang spent the 2018 campaign with the Lions, playing in six games before succumbing to head, back, and neck injuries that ultimately landed him on the injured reserve list in the middle of November.
Detroit then proceeded to release Lang earlier this month.
The 31-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Eastern Michigan, was originally selected by the Packers in the fourth round (109th pick overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
He went on to appear in all 16 contests during his rookie season, but made just three starts.

The Royal Oak, Mi. native then signed a three-year, $27.5 million deal with the Lions in March 2017 and proceeded to participate in 13 games for Detroit in his first season, making yet another Pro Bowl appearance after an impressive performance.
However, with injuries mounting for Lang over the last few seasons, as he played in just 32 games combined from 2016 through 2018, he has decided to call it quits.
The Lions are coming off of a season in which they won just six games and missed the playoffs. Detroit has made just three postseason appearances since 2000.
