This shouldn't come as much of a surprise given that Harbaugh has seen his stock rise over the last couple of year, especially after the high amount of success he helped lead Michigan this season. He is one of the more established head coaches that has shown he can have success at every stop of his coaching career.
There had been some reports earlier this month that the Green Bay Packers could look to bring Harbaugh aboard to help provide a strong personality that can help coach star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Meanwhile, there is the possibility that the Cleveland Browns could extend an olive branch to him as they have quickly become a potentially promising situation behind the success they have experienced this season with their young core group with talent on both sides of the ball.
Regardless of which it may be, it looks like there will be an opportunity for Harbaugh to get back into the NFL if he so desires next season to get a fresh start with another organization.
