The NFL continues to navigate through uncharted waters ahead of the 2020 NFL season amid the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It appears Washington Redskins wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden has become the latest player to reveal his battle with the coronavirus.
Gandy-Golden recently issued a statement regarding his experience in dealing with COVID-19, via ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter:
“During my pre-draft training, I tested positive for COVID-19 on March 24. My symptoms thankfully were mild, but I self-quarantined for two weeks and followed all guidelines from health experts. I was fully cleared April 7. I feel 100% now and can't wait to get on the field for the Redskins ASAP.”
It is encouraging to see that Gandy-Golden has made a full recovery and is ready to begin his preparations for the 2020 campaign. He is hoping that his testimony will encourage others to take the necessary precautions in order to help curves the outbreak.

The other two being Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen. Fortunately, it seems they have also made sure to undergo the same protocols in order to get back to 100% this offseason.
Now that Gandy-Golden recovered, he can now focus on etching out an integral role for himself in Washington's offense after being taken in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
He will be joining a receiving corps led by Terry McLaurin, Cody Latimer, and fellow rookie Antonio Gibson as the options in the passing game for quarterback Dwayne Haskins.
