Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins has already made some good impressions on the organization, and quarterback Jay Gruden is excited to have a quarterback that he can grow with. Haskins participated in rookie minicamp over the weekend, and it was the team's and media's first chance to see Haskins on the field. Even though not a ton can be taken away from rookie minicamp, it was still an excellent first chance for Gruden to get to work with Haskins on the field.
Gruden has said before that Haskins will get a chance to compete for the starting job with Colt McCoy and Case Keenum but won't guarantee that he will get the job. One thing he can guarantee though is that the team is going to build an offense that fits his strengths, and this is going to be a long term relationship.

Since Gruden has taken over as the coach of the Redskins, there has never really been the view. It always seemed like a matter of time before Kirk Cousins moved on and with Alex Smith, they knew he was only the option for a few years before they were going to have to get younger. The hope is that this could be a career relationship between Haskins and the Redskins.
