It's safe to say that the Philadelphia Eagles had one of the most productive offseason outings of any team in the NFL. Jalen Hurts quickly recovered from his early offseason ankle surgery and is working to improve his passing game. The rest of the returning team is 100% on board with Hurts as their play-caller, working hard with him ahead of the preseason.

Meanwhile, not-so-familiar faces recently joined the Eagles and their offseason workouts. From the 2022 NFL Draft, trades, and free agency signings, the Birds picked up a lot of talent. The revamped roster will undoubtedly make a huge splash, quickly becoming the frontrunner in the NFC East.

With so many new and familiar faces on the roster, here are the three Eagles players that will have breakout performances this year.

Eagles Breakout Players for 2022 NFL Season

3. Jordan Davis

Jordan Davis is one of the most exciting new players to join the Eagles this offseason. The team selected him 13th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Georgia tackle is already fitting in extremely well with his new team, working under the wing of veteran Fletcher Cox.

According to the Super Bowl champion, there's a lot to be excited about surrounding Davis. He told reporters that when it comes to him and Davis “there's no second team.”

Philadelphia Inquirer Eagles beat reporter Josh Tolentino tweeted Cox's quote, praising the rookie at OTAs.

Davis was a huge pick-up for the Eagles. He was highly sought after as the top-ranked tackle in his draft class. At 6'6″ and 341 lbs, Davis has the size, strength, and speed to be a highly effective nose tackle in the NFL. His success with the Eagles will start off strong with a remarkable rookie year performance.

2. AJ Brown

The Eagles took advantage of their multiple early picks in the 2022 NFL Draft in more ways than one. While they used the 13th pick to pick up Jordan Davis, they traded their 18th and 101st picks for AJ Brown. The former Tennessee Titans wide receiver is bound to be an immediate game-changer for the Birds this season.

Brown is expected to work alongside second-year star DeVonta Smith. He has a close friendship with Jalen Hurts, automatically lending to the pair's on-field chemistry. These three, along with one of the best offensive lines in the league, will put up ridiculous numbers this season. Brown is set up for success, and should have his most productive year yet.

1. Jalen Hurts

Of course, the most important player on the team is and always will be the quarterback. This, among many other reasons, is why Jalen Hurts is No. 1 on this list.

As mentioned earlier, Hurts had surgery in February to address an ankle injury. He dealt with the high ankle sprain throughout the second half of the season, and it undoubtedly impacted his productivity.

Being 100% healthy to start the season is enough to give Hurts an edge above his first full year as the Eagles' QB1. His health, along with his newfound passing game featuring the wide receiver duo of Smith and Brown, will have Hurts stunning his opponents this season.
