The Philadelphia Eagles' season ended with a disappointing playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, head coach Nick Sirianni's rookie season in Philadelphia should be considered a success, as he helped lead the team back to the postseason after missing the playoffs in 2020. Still, the Eagles are not without their faults. The defense could use an extra boost of talent, specifically in terms of their pass rush. The offense could do with another playmaker or two. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is viewed as the franchise guy by the front office, but if they change their tune, quarterback could emerge as a possible need. That said, here is the biggest need the Eagles must address in the 2022 NFL offseason.

Eagles' Biggest 2022 NFL Offseason Need
Finding an elite-level pass-catcher for the offense
The Eagles' biggest 2022 NFL offseason need is on offense. The franchise must find a dependable pass-catcher for quarterback Jalen Hurts, who realistically only had two truly reliable targets all season- DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. The Eagles front office saw enough from Hurts to move forward with him in 2022, but how can they possibly be confident with his continuing development when his secondary targets are Jalen Reagor and Quez Watkins? The Eagles need to go out and find an elite-level playmaker in free agency to put alongside Smith and Goedert, who are both strong pieces for the future. That would go a long way towards improving Hurts' skill as a passer, which came into question multiple times last season, particularly during the team's playoff loss.
Article Continues BelowGiven Goedert's presence- and the fact that the Eagles seem to be high on young tight end Tyree Jackson- it makes sense for Philadelphia to look towards the free agent wide receiver market. There just so happen to be several names on the market that could be appealing to the Eagles. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams would be a dream come true for the Eagles, though his price tag will definitely be far too high for Philadelphia. However, one name in particular could make a ton of sense for the Eagles. Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson II.
Robinson did not have a very good season for the Bears last year. The Bears wideout dealt with some injuries, though he rattled off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons before taking a step back last season. As such, Robinson's free agent value could take a bit of a hit. The Bears wideout is still in his prime at the age of 28- he'll turn 29 in August- and definitely has a lot more football left in him.
At 6 feet two inches tall and 220 pounds, Robinson is a big, physical target, unlike any of the other wide receivers on the Eagles roster. The Bears star receiver is the kind of possession receiver that could really prove to be a reliable target for Hurts alongside Smith and Goedert. Not only that, but Robinson's veteran presence could be really good for Smith, both on the field in terms of the defensive attention he would attract, and off the field as a leader.
Allen Robinson is not the only option they can consider but he is one of several the Eagles need to look at to address their biggest 2022 NFL offseason need- wide receiver.
