The Philadelphia Eagles have life after beating the New Orleans Saints this past weekend, thanks in large part to rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts.

According to Louie DiBiase, the host of the daily Locked On Eagles podcast, they have a very realistic chance to make a run to the postseason after looking at how they have been playing and who they are slated against to end the season. DiBiase believes that this should have been expected:

DiBiase: Look, if they had lost this game, if they were 3-9-1, we would still be talking about the future but since they won, they are still alive. They are a game and a half back from Washington, who leads at 6-7 in the NFC East. They are hot. They have won four straight games. The Eagles are a game and a half back and they have a beatable Arizona Cardinals team next week. They play the Dallas Cowboys, who stink, in two weeks. And then, they have a Week 17 battle with Washington. That could be for the division.

This is just what the Eagles do every year. This should not be predictable against a team like the Saints, but it really is. If you have watched the Eagles since 2018, this is what they do. Anytime that you think this team is finally, completely, dead in the water, like in 2018 when they got blown out by this New Orleans Saints team in the Superdome and they dropped to 4-6, you thought that they were dead in the water. There is no way they can come back and make the playoffs. They did. They went 5-1 down the stretch and nearly made the NFC title game.
