Longtime Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has returned to the “City of Brotherly Love.” With the Eagles acquiring the former Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier in the offseason, Jackson is now gearing up for his second tour of duty as a member of the NFC East franchise.

However, it is also worth noting that Jackson's first stint with the Eagles came before the playing days of current Philadelphia starting quarterback Carson Wentz. Nonetheless, the two appear to be clicking early on in training camp as Jackson continues to assimilate into an Eagles offense that features a litany of talent at both wide receiver and tight end.

“It’s becoming evident that the chemistry between Wentz and Jackson will cause problems from the rest of the NFC East,” writes Mike Kaye of NJ.com. “The two have been playing catch during 11-on-11 drills. Jackson has beat nearly every cornerback in coverage multiple times and gotten open in several different ways. Jackson isn’t just winning with speed, he’s also getting space with his route-running ability.”

Despite his age, Jackson remains an elite deep threat, which is something that the Eagles did not have on offense prior to his arrival this offseason.

“On Monday, Wentz continued to make bucket throws to Jackson,” Kaye continues. “As previously mentioned, the pair connected on a downfield shot for a touchdown. The play picked up at least 50 yards. Wentz also hit Jackson on comeback routes and sideline fades. The pair is clicking like the duo has been together for years.”

It is also worth noting that the Eagles, in the absence of Jackson, won the team's first Super Bowl title just two seasons ago.
