Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long saw a lot of resemblance in Thursday night's game to when the Eagles beat the Atlanta Falcons last year in the NFL playoffs, and he thinks the big difference is how well the defense played in the red zone.

The Falcons were in the red zone five times on Thursday night and only came away with nine points, something that is unacceptable for any NFL team. Long said that is something the team prides itself on, and it showed on Thursday night.

“It’s big,” Long said, via Pro Football Talk. “The guys in the back end played well in the red zone. It’s something that we pride ourselves on. It came down to the red zone last year. It came down to the red zone this year. At the beginning we were a little porous and we tightened up when it counted and that ends up being the difference in the game.”

On the last play of the game Matt Ryan tried to throw a jump ball up to Julio Jones, just like last year in the playoffs and yet again it didn't end in a touchdown.

The Eagles had a couple of huge stops when the Falcons tried to rush the ball, but the Falcons also had a few interesting play calls. There were a few plays in the red zone that Jones wasn't even in and the Eagles were able to load up in the box. There have to be some questions asked about the play calling down the stretch that cost the Falcons.
