Back on Nov. 18, the Philadelphia Eagles traveled to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and were thrashed by the New Orleans Saints by a score of 48-7, ad Drew Brees threw four touchdown passes in the Saints win.

Now, nearly two months later, the Eagles will be heading to New Orleans again, this time to take on the Saints in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

However, Philadelphia head coach Doug Pederson insists the Eagles are a different team now than they were in mid-November:

“Yeah, it wasn’t very good the first time,” Pederson said, according to Jonathan Tannenwald of The Philadelphia Inquirer. “And you know, we’ll take a look at that film. We’ll take a look at this one. I think we’re a different football team now than we were then. And we’ve just got to put a good plan together in all three phases. Go back down there, we’re on the road, it’s going to be in a dome, it’s going to be loud again, all those things, and it’s going to be a great atmosphere.”

Well, one area where Philly definitely differs now from then is at quarterback.

While Carson Wentz was under center on Nov. 18, Nick Foles has now taken the reins at signal-caller, replacing Wentz due to a back injury late in the season.

Foles was the quarterback who led the Eagles to a Super Bowl title last year, and he guided Philadelphia to a Wild Card Round win over the Chicago Bears this past Sunday, so maybe they would actually prefer him to Wentz in this situation?

The Eagles and Saints will face off next Sunday.
