Thursday evening John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia tweeted out that DeSean Jackson is looking to rejoin the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I’m told DeSean Jackson would really like to return and play for the Eagles next season,” Clark tweeted. “He has a pending sale on his house in Tampa. ESPN reports he wants out.”

The 32-year-old wideout for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has also shown interest in staying in Florida, reportedly. Also on Thursday, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported that Jackson “has expressed a preference to move on from Tampa after this season.”

The Buccaneers have him under contract through 2020. For any team to acquire his rights, he would have to be released or traded.

Releasing Jackson this offseason would save the Buccaneers over $10 million in cap space.

Jackson hasn't had a 1,000-yard season in over two years. His prime was around 20018 through 2013, where he had three seasons with over 1,000 yards and bagged in 32 touchdowns.

The Eagles would very much enjoy the benefits of having Jackson on the roster. Though they added Golden Tate at the trade deadline during the regular season, their receiving production was very mediocre until Carson Wentz went down with an injury.

Having Golden Tate, Mike Wallace, Alshon Jefferey, Nelson Agholor, and DeSean Jackson on one team? The Eagles would be running a ton of five-out in the shotgun with that kind of receiving the core. Carson Wentz would have no trouble being successful in that kind of system, and Nick Foles would thrive under center as well.
