Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz continues to be a subject of several trade rumors. The Indianapolis Colts are one of the teams who have expressed their desire to acquire the 28-year-old gunslinger. Despite the mutual interest from both sides, it remains to be seen if the Indy-based squad indeed has the best trade package to offer to the Eagles at this point, via Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

In addition, former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski also bared that the Colts possibly offered two 2nd round picks along with another potential 3rd or 4th round selection in exchange for the services of Wentz. The package from Indianapolis could've failed to meet the asking price of Philadelphia which led them to continue on gauging the other offers on the market as of the moment.

On the other hand, the Chicago Bears serve as another team in contention for the Wentz sweepstakes. As per McLane, head coach Matt Nagy will most likely land Wentz via trade if it would be proven that the Colts' interest in the quarterback isn't high enough. However, reports have also emerged that even the Bears were not willing to let go of an immensely valuable first-round pick for Wentz.

The Bears are also having a shaky quarterback situation as QB1 Mitchell Trubisky failed to impress under center in recent seasons. The Colts, however, are in a different boat as they currently don't have a starting playmaker due to Philip Rivers' recent retirement.

Philadelphia will most likely opt to stand pat as of the moment and garner more interest from the market before making any moves in order to get the best haul out of the Carson Wentz trade.
