Philadelphia Eagles fans have spent the entire offseason bragging about their team’s Super Bowl win against the New England Patriots back in February. Two quarters into the team’s season-opening game versus the Atlanta Falcons, these very same fans are pelting Super Bowl hero Nick Foles and company with boos.

That’s right. Eagles fans obviously were not happy with the performance of their team, though, both squads on the field did not play an elite brand of football in the first half. The first two quarters of the match ended with Atlanta ahead, 6-3.  Philly had five possessions over that span and managed just 68 yards. Foles barely looked like the quarterback who outdueled Tom Brady several months ago, as he only generated 65 yards on 18 passes, while also getting sacked twice.

Nevertheless, Eagles fans have shown how spoiled they have become of success, as evidenced by their attitude towards their team in this game.

The contest was also delayed because of inclement weather, so that likely played a part in thinning the patience of the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field. They even booed Mother Nature.

That’s not to mention the sloppiness of the game which looked like a glorified preseason showdown at least during the first two quarters.

There’s still plenty of time left in the game for the Eagles to get the upper hand and get a win against Atlanta. Keep it cool, Philly fans.
