The Jacksonville Jaguars felt it necessary prior to Sunday's contest with the Pittsburgh Steelers to throw some shade at running back Le'Veon Bell. The break down came via Jeff Lageman who praised James Conner but felt the need to mention the now ineligible Bell as well.

The lack of emphasis on Jame Conner is surprising considering how brilliant he has been this season since taking over the lead back role for the Steelers. Conner has run for 771 yards and 10 touchdowns as well as catching 39 balls for 387 yards.

Conner has overcome his fair share of adversity and provides a feel-good story that Steelers fans love. With Le'Veon Bell foregoing this season it meant the Steelers could move past the dramatics and focus solely on Conner for the future. Bell has been nothing short of incredible for the Steelers but for speculative reasons it appears his days in Pittsburgh have come to an end.

So what's the point of Jacksonville even involving Bell in the first place? There appears to be no reason, and the shade thrown in the former All-Pro running back's direction turned out to bite the Jaguars back. Considering Bell more or less has nothing to do with the team for the rest of the season, the Jags might want to direct their attention to more significant matters.

The Steelers overcame a 16-point deficit to beat the Jaguars and avenge their two losses from last season. In addition to today's victory, the Steelers have now won six straight and have a two-game lead in the AFC North.
