Week 15 of the 2018 NFL season will feature a marquee matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots. However, Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd feels there is not much substance to the game.

The Steelers and the Patriots have developed a distaste for each other over the last several years. Regardless, Cowherd still does not think this is a rivalry by any means, via Twitter:

“This isn't a rivalry. Tom Brady is 11-2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They're extras in Tom Brady's movie called, ‘My Trip to Another Super Bowl.'”

Cowherd's criticisms may seem a bit harsh, however, there is no denying that there is some truth to them. Brady and the Patriots have dominated the Steelers for more than a decade. Head coach Bill Belichick is 7-2 against head coach Mike Tomlin. If this was truly ever considered a rivalry, it is perhaps one of the most one-sided in recent history. Regardless, the Steelers are not to be taken lightly.

Although Pittsburgh has come up short a majority of the time, it is safe to say that they still pose quite a threat. Even head coach Bill Belichick has acknowledged that his past success against them will not determine any future outcomes. Perhaps it is because this Steelers roster is arguably as talented as any other roster in the NFL. They boast more than enough weapons on both sides of the ball to potentially give New England fits.

The fact that the Steelers are desperate makes them even more dangerous. They are in a must-win situation moving forward. It is clear they are also long overdue for a win against their budding rivals.
