Arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL is getting ready to take advantage of the league's new celebration rules. Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown already planning for what he's going to do in the end zone this season.
Brown recently made an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and talked about his plans for touchdown celebrations as well as other Steelers topics.
As a player that seemed to get fined on a weekly basis for his antics in the end zone last season, there probably wasn't a player in the NFL happier than Brown once the league decided to soften their stance on celebrations.
Article Continues BelowBrown explained being able to celebrate on the field is important to him to Cowherd, transcription via Adam Bittner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
“It’s so hard in the NFL, man,” Brown said. “You spend the course of a long week preparing for one opportunity. And once you get that opportunity and you get in that moment, it’s just an amazing feeling.
“It’s something you should celebrate about, something you should be excited about.”
Although the referees won't be quickly going for their yellow flags during games when they see celebrating on the field, there's still a chance players like Brown could get penalized for taking things a bit too far.
It'll be interesting to see how far the league and referees will let players go when it comes to celebrating. One thing is for sure, Brown will certainly be pushing it to the limit and may be among the first to push it too far during the 2017 campaign.
