Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was not in attendance much for organized team activities. However, he still had no problems with staying out of the limelight thanks to social media.

There is no question that Brown is one of the NFL's biggest stars. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, that was part of the reason he has not been seen much at practice this offseason.

“I can't go nowhere and work out by myself, fans come meet me at the field — I can't do nothing normal,” Brown said Tuesday. “You guys write about me every day. My mom and my kids see it. So we have to deal with these type of things. I started to think to myself, am I really free? I can't really express myself in this game. I can't really tell you how I feel.

“You guys make the pressure to put pressure on me all the time. Am I really free? I got to asking myself that in regards to taking time away from my kids. … I had to get away to free my mind.”

Brown had taken exception to reports about his comments regarding the absence of running back Le'Veon Bell. He feels that is among the other things that the media has taken out of context.

It is unfortunate to see that Brown's stardom has started to take a toll on his personal life. The writing may have been on the wall given his recent string of unusual posts on social media. However, that is often the price one pays when becoming a household name as he has.

Brown is widely considered the best wide receiver in the league and has already etched out his place as one of most talented in NFL history. Not only does he play for one of the league's premier franchise s but he has also raised his star power by engaging heavily in social media. That said, it is hard to see where Brown may have started having some regrets about the fame. Regardless, it has now been magnified by his eventful offseason the high Steelers' high expectations for the 2018 NFL season.
