Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown thinks that he had nothing to prove and could just stop playing football altogether.
It's certainly been quite the situation surrounding Brown this offseason, as it's clear at this point that the Steelers aren't interested in bringing him back following the damaged relationship between the two parties.
However, that doesn't seem to be affecting Brown too much, with the star wideout making it clear that he wants others to play by his rules now.
Here's what Brown had to say in a recent ESPN interview about his ability to walk away from the game if he doesn't get his wishes, courtesy of NFL.com:
Article Continues Below“I don't even have to play football if I don't want. I don't even need the game, I don't need to prove nothing to anyone,” Brown said. “If they wanna play, they going to play by my rules. If not, I don't need to play.
“Obviously, I want the game, but I don't need the game, it's a difference.”
Reports suggest that the Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins, and Tennessee Titans have shown the most interest in trading for Brown.
No matter who lands him, the first priority will be making sure that everyone is on the same page considering how things unfolded with the Steelers.
Because if not, it will likely only intensify Brown's frustrations.
