While some of his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates have spoken against Le’Veon Bell and his insistence on his holdout, at least one of them has sided with the running back. That’s wide receiver Antonio Brown, who took to Instagram to voice his support of Bell.

Unlike left guard Ramon Foster and center Maurkice Pouncey, Antonio Brown clearly is feeling no resentment towards Bell’s controversial tactic. Bell has refused to show up in Pittsburgh, as he continues to leave the Steelers’ franchise tag offer on the table without his signature.
Foster earlier said that Bell is a guy “who doesn’t give a damn,” while Pouncey told reporters that the running back is being a “little selfish.”
Article Continues BelowIt’s not easy to scoff at a one-year deal worth $14.544 million, but that’s exactly the contract Bell is seemingly allergic to as of the moment. Bell wants a longer and more lucrative contract from the Steelers, but Pittsburgh has to the franchise tag offer first before that happens. The Steelers have said they have no plans of rescinding the offer, though, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Amid the events of yesterday involving the #Steelers and their star RB, worth noting: Pittsburgh won’t be rescinding the franchise tag for Le’Veon Bell, I’m told. Obvious. But important. He’ll play for the #Steelers this year, it’s just a question of when.
For now, the Steelers are preparing for their Week 1 showdown with the Cleveland Browns content with second-year pro James Conner as their starting running back.
