The Pittsburgh Steelers head into the 2018 campaign as one of the favorites to contend for Super Bowl behind their talented roster.
With that in mind, All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown voiced on Wednesday that the Steelers have their focus centered on putting together a special season, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
The Steelers are returning much of the same roster that is led by their explosive offense that is filled with Pro Bowl talent. Brown is expected to factor into the equation as the primary piece in the passing game for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger next season. He is coming off another highly productive campaign where he recorded 101 catches for a league-best 1,533 receiving yards despite missing the final two games of the regular season due to injury. He has the chance to become the first player to post six straight seasons with 100 catches for 1,200 receiving yards.
There are several formidable teams in the AFC headlined by the New England Patriots, but Pittsburgh has strung together a team that can truly contend for a Super Bowl. It has simply come down to their shortcomings in the playoffs that saw him exit in the divisional round in the postseason against the Jacksonville Jaguars in what turned to be an offensive shootout.
Pittsburgh has the motivation there to bounce back in the 2018 season with eyes toward reaching the Super Bowl for the first time in seven years. The team has experienced talent to lean on that such as Brown that should lead the charge with their play along with leadership. All of this may lie on the team stepping it up in the playoffs to finally break through to bring the franchise it's seven Super Bowl win.
